Member Profile by Dee Kinloch
Edward and Helen Pelletier established Berkshire Hills Productions twelve years
ago.
They produce videos for special events, and have several specialties that
they enjoy working on. Two of these
specialties are Family History videos and Local History videos. Families can
keep connected through the generations by recording their events and stories; Ed
and Helen record the people, their stories and memorabilia, and edit the tape to
include still photos and favorite music, etc.
The Local History videos are similar, where “Golden” members of a
community are interviewed for their
Another specialty is wedding videos, and this writer can attest that they do a
beautiful job! And at a fair price! The
wedding was in mid-July, and by mid-August the tape was edited and presented for
our viewing pleasure. Family
members who could not attend the wedding enjoyed seeing how the day went, and
family members who did attend were reminded of small events of the day that
don’t usually show up on still photos. The
Pelletiers ask how you see the day going, and set up their cameras and
themselves to try to capture the flow.

Nowadays,
they can capture the ‘stills’ as well as the flow:
they have expanded so that they have still photography services as well
as video services. Still, or
portrait, photography specialties include dance/theatre portraits and sports
photos as well as wedding services.
And if you already have a collection of old family photos and home
movies, and you want to preserve and share them, the Pelletiers can save your
special memories by transferring them to video or DVD.
Ed and Helen joined JLBA in 1998. When
asked what got them to join, they responded that there was an active and
enthusiastic group of business people from many fields, and lots going on.
What keeps them coming back? “The
people we meet”, the social atmosphere and the business relationships
they’ve established. Helen has served as the treasurer for several years, and is
pleased with the stability of the group.
They could probably serve as our association historians, since they’ve been in
attendance at most all JLBA events! Ed
